Tank Safety Showers

  • 1500L Tank Safety Shower with Chiller

Just because your shower is compliant it does not mean your water temperature is!

The Australian and ANSI Standards both require water to be delivered between 16ºC and 38ºC. Any colder and the user risks hypothermia, any hotter and they risk accelerating the damage caused by the initial chemical exposure.

This tank safety shower is relocatable and ideal for use in environments where mains water is not available.

    Standard Fittings

    • 1500L insulated tank
    • 316 stainless shower rose
    • 316 stainless steel shower frame

    • Shower/Eyewash signage
    • Purpose built chiller unit – made in Australia
  • Jacketed and Insulated 1500 Litre Emergency Tank Shower with 316L Stainless Steel Framework

Jacketed and insulated 1500 litre emergency tank showers are essential hazardous in environments where either a constant supply of water, or sufficient water pressure cannot be guaranteed.

When used in cold or hot climates, these models can be fitted with chiller units or immersion heaters to ensure the provision of tepid water whatever the environment.

    Complies with AS4775:2007

  • Portable Interim Safety Shower

This unit is easily filled by connecting to a mains water supply via a 15 or 20 mm hose pipe; it is then easily manoeuvred to its required position, either by hand, or by fitting an ‘A’ frame (optional) and hooking up to a standard tow ball on a vehicle. Pictured with optional eyewash and drench hose.

  • Battery Powered Safety Shower

This Australian made battery powered safety shower and eye wash is designed for use in remote area applications and is compliant with AS4775. When the battery is charged, it can run the emergency shower and eye wash for up to 40 hours. No outside water supply is required as water is drawn from the enclosed 1500L tank. Ideal for mining, exploration and shut downs.

  • Solar Powered Safety Shower

Designed and made in Australia, this emergency solar powered safety shower and eyewash is completely self contained. The twin 80W solar cells keep the 235amp battery fully charged even in shady or cloudy condition. Testing done on the water temperature showed only a 4degC variation over a 3 month trail conducted in WA from Jan-March.

  • Safety Eyewash Proximity Switch

Magnetically operated Proximity Switch complete with brackets and weatherproof junction box.  To activate remote alarm when eyebath/facewash is being operated.

  • Tank Shower Glass Reinforced Paneling

To reduce over spray especially when the unit is located in an exposed position. This fitting is available in a choice of colours.

  • Tank Shower Light Box

Light Boxes enable the safety signs to be back-lit for greater visibility on dull days or at night.  They also provide local illumination to ensure that the shower and/or eyebath/facewash operating mechanisms are easy to see at all times as recommended in the ANSI Standard Z358.1-2004.

  • Tank Shower Solar Shield

When operating in extreme temperatures, Tank Showers can be fitted with Sunshields to protect the water in the tank from the effects of heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation.

  • Tank Shower Syphon Dump Valve

To automatically discharge a proportion of water on a regular basis to ensure that the water in the tank remains fresh at all times.

  • Tank Shower Test Handle

To allow the shower to be tested without the operator getting wet.

  • Tank Shower Water Temperature Gauge

To allow the water temperature in the tank to be monitored.

  • Tank Shower Visual Level Indicator

To enable an operator to easily check the water level inside the tank.
