Eyewash Mandatory for Battery Charging RoomsNathan Cartwright
AS 3780-2008 is the Australian Standard for the Storage & Handling of Corrosive (Class 8) Substances.
It sets out the site requirements for organisations that have battery charging areas.
Section 4.4(o)(ii) states that eyewash facilities complying with AS4475-2007 (The Australian Standard for Emergency Shower and Eyewash) must be not further that 10m from the area.
To ensure you meet your requirements, a range of eyewash units are available from Spill Station© Australia.
Plumbed in units include:
- Stainless Steel
- ABS Plastic
- Covered GRP unit with integral lid
A fully self-contained eyewash option is also available. All of these eyewash units meet both the internationally recognised US and Australian Standard.
The standard goes on to state the requirements for absorbents and storage.
