These absorbents are available in rolls, pads, pillows, bags and socks or booms. When using absorbents to address spills, there are some important things to remember.
NEVER REUSE ABSORBENTS All absorbents can be reused if too much is applied to the spill but reuse can be dangerous. If absorbent contaminated with diesel is applied to a bleach spill the results can be explosive. The safest and most cost effective option is to use only what you need and dispose of contaminated absorbents immediately.
ALWAYS DISPOSE OF WASTE IN THE CORRECT WASTE STREAM. Regardless of what is added
to absorbents, all waste must be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
